With the cost of devices rising, we decided to introduce Klarna to our payment offering at The iOutlet. This allows you to spread the cost of your refurbished iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.
Klarna can help to make your next purchase more manageable. Klarna may also allow you to choose a device at a higher specification than if they were going to buy it outright.
At the checkout you have 3 options. Once you have inputted your details a soft credit check will be made, which doesn’t impact your credit score and Klarna will provide you with the choices available to you:
Pay Outright
You can pay outright with Klarna checkout using all major credit and debit cards. You will always be offered this as a default payment option.
Pay In 3
This is the most popular payment plan. The total cost of your payment is split into 3 simple payments:
- Payment 1 is made at the checkout for the first 3rd
- 30 days after this, your card is automatically charged the second 3rd
- Then 30 days after this, you are charged the final 3rd which is the balance
There is no charge to use this service.
Pay Later
You don’t pay anything today, instead you pay in 30 days time when the payment is automatically charged to your card.
Again, there is no charge for this service.
iPhone Payment Example With Klarna
For example an iPhone 8 64GB would be £279.99 but the iPhone X 64GB would be £409.99 which is an extra £130 on top of what you chose originally.
However, on Pay in 3 with Klarna, the iPhone 8 would be £93.33 a month and the iPhone X is £136.66 which is a difference of £43.33 a month. A much more manageable amount to upgrade to the higher specification phone. It also allows you to add on additional offers such as bundles and the phone screen cover and spread that cost also.
As mentioned above, they won’t all be offered via Klarna with Klarna card checkout always being offered as a default payment method. The payment options will only be available to customers aged 18 and above.
