How our refurbishment process works
Buying refurbished only works if you can trust how the device was put back together. So here is the full picture, start to finish, of how we refurbish every device that comes through us.
Stock arrives and gets graded.
Devices come in from our suppliers and from customers who trade in their old tech. Each one goes onto a stock list and is given a grade based on its cosmetic condition. The grade is about looks rather than function, since everything we sell is fully working whatever grade it carries. We use four:
- A+ Pristine. Like new, with no real signs of use.
- A Excellent. Very light marks you would have to look closely to spot.
- B Good. Some wear from normal everyday use.
- C Average. Heavier marks, but still fully tested and working.

Everything gets tested
Before anything else, each device goes through full functional testing. This is one of the most important steps, because it decides whether a device is ready to sell or needs to go to our repairs team first. Anything that is not quite right gets flagged here.
Repairs and refurbishment
Devices that need work go to the right department. That might be a new battery, a screen repair, or sorting whatever the testing picked up. Light scratches on a screen are polished out to give a clean, like new finish. The aim is simple, a device that works properly and looks the part.
A second round of testing
Once any repairs are done, we test the device all over again to confirm everything is working as it should. Nothing moves on until it passes.
Final checks and dispatch
The device then goes to dispatch, where its overall quality gets one last look. Only once it clears that does it go up for sale. When you order, we box it up, bag it with your postage label, and hand it over to our delivery partners. That is the whole journey, from a device landing on our stock list to arriving at your door, tested and covered by a 12-month warranty.
What does refurbished mean?
A refurbished device is a pre-owned one that has been fully tested, repaired where needed, and cleaned up before being resold. It is not the same as second hand or used as-is. Every device we refurbish is checked to be in full working order and graded for cosmetic condition before it goes on sale.
How are refurbished devices tested?
Each device goes through full functional testing when it arrives, and again after any repairs are carried out. We check that everything works as it should, and anything that does not pass gets sent to our repairs team before it can be sold.
What do the refurbished grades mean?
Grades describe cosmetic condition only, as every device is fully working whatever the grade. We use four. A+ Pristine looks as good as new, A Excellent has only very light marks, B Good shows some normal wear, and C Average has heavier marks but still works exactly as it should.
Are refurbished devices reliable?
Yes. Because each one is tested twice and repaired to full working order before sale, a refurbished device performs like the equivalent new one. It also comes with a 12-month warranty, so you are covered if anything does go wrong.
Do refurbished devices come with a warranty? Every device we sell is covered by a 12-month warranty, and you can spread the cost with Klarna if you would rather pay in instalments.
