What do Grade A, B and C mean on a refurbished phone?
Every device we sell is graded for how it looks, not for how it works: Pristine, Excellent, Good and Average, which you will also see written as A+, A, B and C. Whatever grade you choose, the device is fully tested, in full working order and comes with a 12-month warranty.
What does each grade mean?
- A+, Pristine. Like new, with no signs of wear. Fully tested and in full working order.
- A, Excellent. Little or minor signs of wear. Fully tested and in full working order.
- B, Good. Moderate signs of wear across the device. Fully tested and in full working order.
- C, Average. Signs of heavy wear, and the best value of the four. Fully tested and in full working order.
Where do I see the letter and where do I see the word?
Product names and the shop’s filters still use the letters, so “iPhone 13 Pro - 128GB - Sierra Blue - Grade A” is an Excellent one. The word is on the tile in the shop and on the product page, where Compare conditions shows every grade side by side with the one you are looking at marked.
What does every grade have in common?
- Fully tested and in full working order, whichever grade you pick.
- A 12-month warranty, included.
- Phones hold at least 80% of their original battery capacity, and you can choose a brand new battery when you buy.
- Network unlocked, unless the listing says otherwise.
- Free UK tracked delivery, and easy returns.
Tip: The grade is about marks, not about what the device can do. A Grade C phone does everything a Grade A+ one does, it just looks like it has been owned.
