Common iPad issues
Apple Pencil won’t pair or charge
Check your Pencil generation matches your iPad. For a 2nd-gen Pencil, attach it magnetically to the side to pair/charge; for 1st-gen, plug it into the Lightning port. Re-pair from Settings → Apple Pencil.
Touchscreen unresponsive
Remove any screen protector, clean/dry the screen, and force restart.
Won’t charge or charges slowly
iPads need a higher-power adapter than phones — use the included/USB-C adapter and a good cable; cleaning the port helps.
Split View / Stage Manager acting up
Update to the latest iPadOS in Settings → General → Software Update, then restart.
