Samsung Galaxy — Troubleshooting

Most Samsung Galaxy issues are quick to resolve. Work through these first.

Won’t turn on or charge

  • Try a different cable and charger, and a different power socket.
  • Charge for at least 30 minutes, then try again.
  • Force restart: Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons together for about 10 seconds until the phone restarts.

No signal or SIM not detected

  • Reseat the SIM and check your network has coverage.
  • Restart the device and check for carrier settings updates.

Wi-Fi or Bluetooth problems

  • Toggle the connection off and on.
  • Forget the network/device and reconnect.
  • Reset network settings if needed.

Slow, freezing or crashing

  • Install the latest updates.
  • Free up storage space.
  • Restart; as a last resort, back up and reset.

Common Samsung Galaxy issues

No signal / SIM not detected

Reseat the SIM, toggle Airplane Mode, and check the preferred network mode in Settings → Connections → Mobile networks (e.g. 5G/LTE).

An app keeps crashing

Clear that app’s cache in Settings → Apps → [app] → Storage. Still crashing? Restart in Safe Mode (hold Power, then press & hold “Power off”) to check if another app is the cause.

Won’t charge

Use the official cable/adapter, gently clean the USB-C port, and try another socket. Fast charging needs a compatible charger.

Running slowly

Free up storage, close background apps, and check Battery and device care → Optimise now.

Still not right? Your Samsung Galaxy may be covered by its 12-month warrantycontact us.
